The Masurian Lake District is located in the north-eastern part of Poland occupying an area of approximately 52,000 km2, with approximately 2,000 lakes.

The largest of them, along with the canals, form The Trail of the Great Masurian Lakes. In relation to the world map, the Masuria region is located at the same latitude as York in England.

One of the attractions is the largest lake in Poland – Sniardwy with an area of 114 km2. For comparison, the largest lake of the Lake District (Lake Windermere) is 15 km2.

Sniardwy is not the only large lake in Masuria. Lake Mamry with an area of 104 km2 and lake Niegocin which is approximately 30 km2 are also very popular.

”Learning how to sail and having the most enjoyable hands on experience. Visiting some gorgeous towns and local attractions. But most importantly creating the most amazing memories. I can’t thank Patricja and Voytec enough for showing us the most incredible lakes and making us feel so welcome.

We can’t wait to come back and see more of these beautiful lakes’.

Jennifer Miller

‘We had great weather, sunshine and a good breeze which gave us ideal conditions for sailing.

We visited a few small towns around the lakes, a particular highlight was Ryn castle which we all enjoyed a guided tour around.

We can’t wait to go back and explore the rest of the masurian lakes! Perfect weather, perfect food, perfect trip, perfect Poland!’

Irwin Milne

‘Voytec and Patrycja were brilliant, they collected us from the airport, made us a lovely breakfast, lunch and dinner each day and made sure we felt comfortable on the boat. We also learned so much from them about sailing. The lakes and views were beautiful and there is so much to see! I would definitely recommend to anyone!
Thank you so much again Voytec and Patrycja!’
